"Stay At Home"

California has entered the third week of the "shelter in place" mandate, and I don't see it ending anytime soon. It is a wild time to be a small business owners, with many of us, myself included, nervously optimistic about what the future might hold.

For the longest time, I resisted promoting the website because I was so focused on obtaining wholesale clientele. Now, with those places temporarily closed, I have focused on the website. Sales have picked up, thankfully, but it makes me realize how much opportunity I missed by having a haphazardly done website.

Looking forward, I am optimistic about what the future holds. I'm hoping that by summer, the amazing markets I have been a part of over the last few years will reopen and business will start flowing again.

Big Changes

Hello everyone!

It seems that every time I post to the blog, I talk about how I am going to be better at posting on regular basis, but it never comes to fruition. No promises, but I'll be spending more and more time on this side of the business.

2018 has been a wild year. I've shifted the business to focus on working with wholesale clients, and am now working with 50 businesses. As much as I have loved meeting so many awesome people doing the show circuit, it has been taxing on me and the family. I will continue to do a limited number of events, but I will probably limit it to 1-2 events a month.

The most exciting and stressful part of this year has been the expansion into Las Vegas. In June, I took about $4,000 in candles and "trained" a family friend in the finer points of selling candles. It's been stressful, but it is going to be an amazing, long term project. More importantly, it has helped me let go to certain aspects of the business and I hope to hire a few more brand ambassadors in 2019.

Above all, I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity. I might just be a candle maker, but I think this is laying a foundation for something much, much bigger in the future.

Much Love,

RCC Updates

What is going on everyone? It has been a whirlwind lately with show after show and order after order. There are some big things coming down the lane, and quite a few big tasks that have been accomplished this year.

We are official; our LLC has been established, DBAs registered, and business bank accounts are firing on all cylinders.

There are some big plans coming up, some I can't mention, but Kickstarter is one of them. We are constantly expanding and working with more wineries, breweries, and the like to offer unique merchandise.

Coming up we have a few shows on tap.

March 25/26: Treasure Island Flea, San Francisco

March 31st and April 1st: Rebel Junk Vintage Market, Napa, CA

Website Reboot

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all of you. Thank you to everyone who showed Rogue Candle Company so much love over the past year.

As you might have noticed, all products have been taken down, as we are doing a complete reboot of inventory and product descriptions.

We have big things planned.

To start the New Year off right, we are planning on launching a Kickstarter project to help buy new equipment and build a shop.

Also, we are working on designing on some "lit" merchandise to go with our current products.

Thank you so much for everything this year, and we are looking forward to continue that momentum.

Been Too Long

I can't believe it has been over a year since my first and only blog post.

Starting today, my goal is to hop on here, once a week, and give an update of what we are up to or where our next show is going to be. Big things are happening, so check back regularly, or follow our Instagram, @RogueCandleCo, to stay in the loop.

Weather permitting, I'll be at the St. Helena Harvest Festival this Saturday, October 15th. Following that, we will return to the Treasure Island Flea on Oct 30/31.

Looking to the future, we are also working on a Kickstarter campaign and will hopefully be launching that at the first of the month.

Thank you for checking out Rogue Candle Company. The basis of this business started a few years ago, and it would have not reached this level without visitors such as yourself.

This site will be a work in progress, so please check back often to see our transformation.
